Brittany and Mike’s Lake Lawn Resort wedding is the kind of wedding that wedding photographers dream about capturing. Listen, I’m not talking about the vintage Ford trucks, the amazing flowers, or even the magical lakeside setting…what I’m talking about is the insane amount of love within both Brittany and Mike’s family units AND their total adoration and love for one another. Take a peek and see for yourself the massive amounts of unfiltered tears of happiness and the always magical love.

Erin + Aaron’s Barn at Trinity Peak wedding was one of the most inspiring weddings of the 2017 wedding season. These two started planning their wedding from California and finalized it from New York. Now that is an impressive achievement. With the help of friends and family they got married near Erin’s childhood home in a stunning outdoor ceremony. Not wanting to be separated before they exchanged wedding vows they got ready in the same suite at The Delafield Hotel. Keeping family central to the day, the wedding party was made up exclusively of their sisters and brother. There were so many gorgeous details to photograph, but my favorite was photographing their simple (yet so chic and modern) fronds that decorated their tabletops in the magnificent barn. I hope to see more of that in future events! Erin and Aaron’s love story unfolded seamlessly throughout the day and it was a true pleasure capturing their first day as a married couple. Take a peek – I’m sure you’ll agree!

Allie and Brad’s wedding at Gesu Church and the Pritzlaff had all the makings for a classic urban Milwaukee affair. Allie and Brad have a love story that goes back to high school, but they really sealed their fate together while they both attended college at Marquette in downtown Milwaukee. With their solid romantic beginnings at the highly influential campus it is no surprise they planned their wedding to take place at the stunning Gesu Church. After their I do’s were sealed with a kiss we had a blast taking photos around campus and the magical St. Joan of Arc Chapel. Florist extroidinaire, Feisty Flowers, provided the soft pastel blooms that complimented the fresh spring blooms dotting the campus. From there we headed to their reception venue, the Pritzlaff, and were dazzled by the transformation of the space by Blue Fancy Events.
Melody Sopa Artistry provided the bride and bridal party with beautiful make-up that lasted all day and night.

Have I mentioned that fall weddings really have my heart? Well, I love everything about them. Even when the weather seems to be less than ideal there is an indescribable beauty to a drizzly October day. This wedding was particularly special to me since I first met Sean in a darkroom class in college, and then a couple short years later we ended up working at the same photo studio for a local retailer. That’s where our lovely bride, Tristine, enters the picture. Sean and Tristine met, fell in love, and then moved to California. Bye guys, it was nice knowing you (sniffle). After these sweethearts got engaged the greatest email hit my inbox (um, YES! When and where? I’m there!). I met them in Big Sur at the the scene of the engagement and we traipsed along the coast making gorgeous images to document this joyous moment in their lives. But, back to this Farmin’ Betty’s wedding. Tristine is a very talented photo stylist and a lot of attention and curation went into the vendors she chose to make her vision come to life. Feisty Flowers nailed the California meets Wisconsin driftwood and succulent crafted centerpieces. The signature drinks, mason jars (those straws!), perfectly autumn desert table, and his and hers late night snack packs showed both of their personalities in the most captivating yet subtle way. It’s true that I may have an affinity for autumn weddings, an affinity for Sean and Tristine, and I may have an affinity for this fantastic family venue, but it is truly one of my most favorite weddings of all time.
