One of my favorite Milwaukee wedding venues is the Riverside Urban Ecology Center (UEC). I was so thrilled when Caitlin contacted me regarding her and John’s wedding at the UEC. For those who don’t know, the UEC is a natural paradise within the city of Milwaukee that is part of Riverside Park (designed by Frederick Law Olmsted – yes the same as the landscape architect of Central Park in NYC (and many many many more wonderful U.S. parks)!) and houses the eco-friendly “green” building. Caitlin and John share a love of the outdoors so it only made sense to begin their lives together under the canopy of mature trees in Riverside Park. They started their big day with a sweet first look, followed by portraits where their session was photo bombed my monarch butterflies (the nerve!), next a marriage ceremony witnessed by friends and family, and finally the couple celebrated the night away with an enthusiastic dance party. It was a perfect day.
