I absolutely love Sheridan Park in St. Francis, just south of Milwaukee gracing the shores of Lake Michigan. Vivian and Chris’ engagement photo session looks like it spanned multiple locations, but in reality we had all that variation at our fingertips from the parking lot to the lake. These lovebirds coordinated both of their looks, but kept it simple and true to their own personal style. Just take a look at that dress number! It’s so hard to pick a favorite from this session, but I think the dainty pink blossoms really show the beauty of the season and tied in (unintentionally, but) perfectly with their second look.

For those of you planning your engagement session and have concerns about grey overcast days then you must take a look at this engagement session. Cloudy days bring soft and even light, so there is no need to worry about harsh shadows or sensitive eyes! April in Wisconsin can be unpredictable, but so can any month in this beautiful state, and being prepared is the best defense for your photo session. Kahla and Dane embraced the, not so ideal, early spring weather like they hadn’t a care in the world…except each other. We kept the shoot simple with one prop, a serape Mexican blanket, and a simple dress change. Their complimentary color palette really worked well with the lake location and their breezy personalities, and of course Kahla’s eyes (how could you miss those stunning baby blues?!).
