Morgan and Sean chose Kohler-Andrea state park (of my all time favorite locations) for their impossibly romantic engagement session. These two are so in love have the best chemistry in front of the camera. The day of the shoot was overcast and windy, but the mood that mother nature created made the shoot even more beautiful. Don’t be afraid of an “un-perfect” weather day, I think these photos may sway you to see the beauty in the soft color tones of textured cloudy skies and the drama of a little wind.

Personalizing your engagement shoot to who you are as a couple is always in style, and this couple did a stellar job making it their own. This is truly a swoon worthy photo session. The day of our shoot, Lake Michigan was socked in by fog at Kohler-Andrea State Park on this cool August day last summer. Monica and Alec came prepared for their shoot by bringing a vintage motorcycle and some bubbly to celebrate their engagement. I had a blast documenting their love story while they frolicked on the beach without a care in the world. Can’t wait for their wedding this weekend!!!

Wisconsin had some very strange summer weather, especially near Lake Michigan. The July day that Carrie and Jim got married on the shore of the great lake was no exception – there was fog that turned to blue skies and sunshine, then clouds with sprinkles of rain, and the temperature didn’t know if it wanted to be hot or cold. Of course none of that really matters on the day you marry your true love in front of friends and family. There was laughter, love, and lots of beauty on this wedding on the shore.
